Mon tournage avec Antoine terminé, j’ai le plaisir de recevoir un appel de Sami, qui me propose de venir le retrouver à Rivière-du-Loup… le lendemain matin ! Ni une, ni deux, je saute dans le seul ferry de la journée qui traverse le Saint-Laurent : j’avais, bien entendu, d’abord envisagé une traversée à la nage, mais la largeur du fleuve (25km) n’était pas un assez grand défi à mon goût…

My filming with Antoine finished, I had the pleasure of receiving a call from Sami, who offered to come and meet him in Rivière-du-Loup… the next morning! Without thinking twice, I jumped on the only ferry of the day that crosses the St. Lawrence: I had, of course, first considered swimming across, but the width of the river (25km) was not a real challenge for me…

Arrivé après le coucher du soleil à Trois-Pistole, je termine -non sans quelques péripéties- mon aventure en stop jusqu’à Rivière-du-Loup. Là, je dormirai quelques heures avant de rejoindre Sami à vélo. Le jeune homme qui m’attend au port vient de terminer son service de nuit. Parfait : je ne serai pas le seul fatigué aujourd’hui.

Arrived after sunset at Trois-Pistole, I end – not without a few vicissitudes – my adventure by hitchhiking to Rivière-du-Loup. There, I will sleep for a few hours before joining Sami by bike. The young man waiting for me at the port has just finished his night shift. Perfect: I won’t be the only one tired today.
