FILMMAKING est un documentaire retraçant la réalisation du film FILMMAKER de Maxime Sanchez, jeune réalisateur ambitieux dont l’objectif est de réaliser un long métrage pour le cinéma, sans producteur.
FILMMAKING is a documentary tracing the production of the movie FILMMAKER by Maxime Sanchez, young and ambitious director whose objective was to make a feature film for the cinema without any producer.

Partant du principe qu’il est aujourd’hui difficile d’entrer dans le monde du « nouveau cinéma de papa », Maxime tente de s’en affranchir en finançant lui-même son projet.
Accepting the idea that it is very difficult to enter the world of the « new dad’s cinema », Maxime tries to free himself from it by financing his own project.
« Né du désir de repousser les limites du cinéma indépendant et inspiré par des cinéastes comme Werner Herzog, Francis Ford Coppola ou encore William Friedkin, Filmmaker est un film d’aventure où l’histoire et le contexte du tournage font intégralement partie de l’oeuvre. Le destin de ce film et tous ceux qui connaissent son existence est incertain, mais je sais depuis le premier jour que ce projet changera à jamais le cinéaste et l’homme que je suis. »

« FILMMAKER was born out of a desire to push the boundaries of independent cinema and inspired by filmmakers like Werner Herzog, Francis Ford Coppola and William Friedkin. It is an adventure film where the story and the set are an integral part of the fate of this film. All we know of its existence is uncertain, but I have known from day one that this project will forever change the filmmaker and the man that I am. »
